How the government responded to Ramco's Wrongdoing
- @GhaziWazni: The Minister of Finance signed all decrees received by his office related to companies that collect, sweep, and transport waste across Lebanon, with a value of 35 billion and 496 million Lebanese pounds.
- THE GOVERNMENT REWARDS RAMCO INSTEAD OF INVESTIGATING ITS ACTIONS. This move by the Ministry of Finance comes after workers in RAMCO, the company responsible for waste management in Beirut, protested against the company's unfair payment of their wages and demanded a correction. Workers also accused the company of torturing and intimidating them. Instead of opening an investigation, the "technocratic" government is reacting in two ways: dispatching the riot police to quell protests and paying the company's dues.
