  • Protesters arrested the previous night for clashes with Internal Security Forces were released following the Beirut Bar Association’s newly-elected President Melhem Khalaf’s intervention along with several lawyers.

  • State Financial Prosecutor Judge Ali Ibrahim filed charges against Director-General of the Ministry of Industry Dany Jadoun for neglect of duty leading to the misuse of public funds, as well as former telecommunications ministers Nicolas Sehnnaoui, Boutros Harab, and Jamal Jarrah, with the latter being sued for embezzlement.

  • Charges were also pressed against telecommunications company directors of Alfa, MTC Touch and Ogero for their illicit enrichment and misuse of public funds.

  • Students in Sidon continued protesting outside the Electricité du Liban building, money exchange offices, and Ogero, while Tripoli witnessed demonstrations in front of the Ministry of Education’s department.
