- An official source told The Daily Star that the cabinet plans to prolong the nationwide lockdown for 15 more days to limit the spread of COVID-19.
- Education Minister Tarek Majzoub stated during a press conference the launch of "distance education" through online platforms. Students can also undertake lessons via television or paper depending on what is most convenient for them. Meanwhile, parliament is set to hold its meetings online.
